Today I am going to show you how to create an action plan in 8 steps. From my own personal experience at one time, and from talking to a lot of people about the future; I’ve noticed that a lot of people have no idea of where they are going or what they are doing with their life. They also had no idea of what an action plan was or how to create one. Fortunately, there are proven formulas that have guided people to success, and I am about to give you 8 steps so you can create your own action and get started on your road to success.
STEP 1: KNOW WHERE YOU ARE GOING
In my talks with other successful people they all had one thing in common…they all knew where they were headed. They had a clear vision of what it was they wanted to accomplish. They all knew exactly what you wanted to do and that is the first step to creating an action plan.
STEP 2: BE VERY SPECIFIC
It’s not enough to have a vision. You must know how you are going to attain it. You should write down a list of goals that will move you closer to your vision. I like to call this a dream map because it will take you to your destination if you follow it.
STEP 3: CREATE DEADLINES
Deadlines are very important on your road to success. they keep you on track and put you in a position to accomplish goals or tasks you created for yourself.
STEP 4: BREAK BIG GOALS INTO SMALLER ONES
Once you have your dream map and specific deadlines for certain goals, break down the bigger goals into smaller ones so that they are more manageable. It’s much easier to tackle smaller tasks than a bigger one.
STEP 5: MAKE A TIMELINE FOR YOUR SMALLER GOALS
You’ve already broken them down, but that it isn’t enough. We are trying to get things accomplished. So put a deadline on the smaller goals as well. make sure that those deadlines fit in the allotted deadline of the bigger goal. This is just extra incentive to get things done on time.
STEP 6: MAKE A VISION BOARD
Once you have all your goals written down with the deadlines, make a vision board. Something that you cab visually see to keep you focused. Not only will this serve as extra motivation, you can also you use this a huge check list. once you completed a task check it off. You will start to see things move along. success is addictive. once you start seeing things moving along the more you will want to do.
STEP 7: WORK YOUR PLAN
Take action daily to get to get things done. You’ve been setting up your goals. Now it time to work them. the ACT is in the word ACTION! You must act in order for things to manifest. It is the only way to achieve the desired outcome.
STEP 8: NEVER GIVE UP!
Step 8 is important because as we all know plans don’t always work out the way we want them to. Life is real that way. Things come up. Maybe a family member gets sick, or you have to work extra shifts and can’t complete a certain tasks before a deadline. It’s okay. You can move something back in order to accommodate your life. Don’t make a habit of changing dates. Only do so if you really need to. But the most important part is to NEVER GIVE UP! This is your dream you are working towards. If you don’t do it nobody else will.
Well, there you go…8 steps in creating an action plan. sit down and figure out what you want to do, or if you already know start plugging in. I guarantee if you work these steps and stick with them you will achieve your goal. The key is you taking ACTION!
